Callie
Lipton is a 25 year-old
singer-songwriter from Boston,
Massachusetts. She began writing songs
and playing guitar at the age of 12.
Years later, she started her career as a
solo artist while a Women's Studies
major at the University of New
Hampshire.
While
there, she contacted regional
producer/drummer Aaron Katz to record
her first studio album. The instant
musical connection between the two led
to the creation of their current group,
an ambient-pop-rock band, The DEJAS.
This duo
has been recording and touring the
Northeast for the last three years.
Callie has also done several solo shows
in California and the Midwest. She has
enlarged her understanding of the world
and herself and gained many unique
perspectives through her travels, most
recently to the Middle East.
Callie is
a passionate, energetic but thoroughly
grounded and committed young woman whose
voice has been described as warm,
sensual__even ethereal__but also strong
and determined. Her songs are
introspective reflections about love,
relationships, and discovering a sense
of self.
