Callie Lipton and Aaron Katz met at the
University of New Hampshire in the fall of
2005. As members of The DEJAS these two
artists are able to express themselves as
singers, songwriters, instrumentalists, and
producers.
For the last two years The DEJAS
have toured the Northeast spreading their
original music everywhere from house
concerts to festivals.
On August 20, 2009, every Gap store in the
U.S. and Canada will host an exclusive, live
acoustic music night to celebrate Gap’s 40
years of heritage in jeans and music.
This intimate performance opportunity will
allow The DEJAS to play at the CHARLES RIVER
CENTER GAP on Aug 20th 2009, from 7pm-9pm.

Have
the Dejas play your wedding- From Tucker
Faman
"I’ve seen Aaron perform live many times
over the years. He wrote a song about ten
years back and there’s a version of it
that’s always had a place in my heart. I
played this song 'in passing' to my fiancée
shortly after our engagement and a decision
was made there and then: we must have Aaron
play our wedding.
I knew
based on many concerts and many more
recordings of great shows over the years
that he would be able to put together not
only an appropriate mix of musicians for our
special day, but I trusted he would go even
beyond my expectations.
I had no
idea what was in store: ENTER CALLIE !..."
The power of two: Salem-based band The
Dejas pedal their way to top...
When they arrive at the Gulu-Gulu Café,
after recording the final notes on a new
album, The Dejas are glowing like new
parents. And Callie Lipton, the band’s
pretty lead singer, adds to the mood
when, breathing a heavy sigh, she says,
“[Creating an album] is like having a
child. You bring up this living thing
and it’s a creature in
itself. You put
so
much time into it.”...
